The Southeastern Fellowship Golf Association played a best ball two net scores tournament today with 32 members participating. The next tournament is at Lakewood Country Club.

The winners this week were:

1^st Place—(123)—George Cochrane Stephen Lennon Willard Storms Terry Blackburn

2^nd Place—(126)—Wilber Simmons Jim Davis Stan Matthews Marvin Eaton

3^rdPlace—(130)—John Blake Gordon Graham Michael Pait Rob Conway

A great day for golf and thank goodness we had that breeze. Played some of my best golf today and the score could have been better but for a couple of missed short putts. Never less a great day with a great team

Glad to know someone is playing well. I hit a crisp 6 iron off the 16th tee and landed in the left end of that fairway bunker. I decided to go for the green and swung my 8 iron and cleared the lip of the bunker and landed the ball within a give me putt. I have never birdied that hole in 56 years!
