SFGA at Cypress Lakes, August 9, 2022

The Southeastern Fellowship Golf Association played a tournament at Cypress Lakes Golf Course on August 9th with 27 members participating. Next weeks tournament is at Land O Lakes Golf Course. The winners this week were:
1st Place—(128)—Terry Strickland Johnny Wallace Harry Lee
2nd Place—(130)—Linwood Hedgepeth David Medlin Ray Crabtree Alick Mansfield
3rd Place—(132)—Rob Conway Breece Horton John Blake Mark Dixon
A good lesson learned that might benefit all who play this game: NEVER park your cart, stand, or otherwise lollygag in an area ahead of a golfer who is hitting or attempting to hit a golf ball. It is possible to hit a ball at a 'near-90 degree angle' from the desired direction of travel.
If you find yourself in this situation, try to put a large tree between yourself and the golfer.
The course was in good condition and I enjoyed the fellowship. I shall be talking to Harry for a lesson soon 😎👍🏌️♂️🏌️♂️
