James "Jim" Tori age 90 of Chadbourn, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at the Angel House in Whiteville.
Jim was born on June 20, 1932, to the late Paul Tori and Ruby Williams Tori. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Sue Tori; siblings, Marie Tori, Joe Tori, John Tori, Donald Tori, Carmen Tori, Paul Tori, and Angela Tori.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Donald Conway officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, at the funeral home.
Jim was a veteran of the Korean conflict and a recipient of the Purple Heart, serving in the United States Marine Corp. He was employed by Virginia Electric and Power, retiring as a supervisor in the maintenance Department.
Jim is survived by his wife, Virginia Bernice Nobles Tori of the home; sister-in-law, Jeanette Nobles Worthington of Whiteville, and many nieces and nephews.
So sorry to hear this , he was indeed a gentleman and will be missed by us all. It was not so long ago we ate some of his birthday cake at Land o Lakes. God Bless May you Rest In Peace sir.
